Have you ever tried to perform a search using Digg’s search field? Did you find the results to be irrelevant? Well, you’re not the only one.Any way you cut it, Digg’s search function is in desperate need of an overhaul. A routine search for a fairly popular topic should produce relevant results, however, as it turns out, the news search feature provides more misses than hits, no matter how the search parameters are adjusted. When searching for a story on Digg, better results can be found using Google. I admit Digg was never in the search business, but as it stands now, the search feature is in need of a desperate burial. Hopefully a more reliable alternative could take its place.
